AQABA

Citadel the uthman mosque of aylain aqaba

In the south of Jordan lies the Red Sea port of Aqaba, surrounded by rugged mountains that subtly change colour as the day unfolds. Its clear water, abundant marine life and pleasant climate, make Aqaba an ideal location for year-round scuba diving, snorkelling and other water sports. Besides the joys of sun, sea and sand; Aqaba also hosts interesting sites including: the 'Uthman Mosque at Ayla ?built during the Caliphate of 'Uthman bin 'Affan , the Mamluke Fort and the Castle of Salahuddin (Saladin) which is located on an island in the middle of the gulf.

WADI RUM

Southeast of Petra is one of the most magnificent desert landscapes in the world, Wadi Rum. Wadi Rum is an enormous, silent and boundless empty space, described by T. E. Lawrence as 'Vast, Echoing and God-like'. Climbing, trekking, 4W vehicles, camel caravans and hot air balloons are ways through which you can explore this unspoiled desert wilderness.
