
The RASCJ offers numerous aero sports activities including Micro-light flying and Single Engine flight training. The Club however is internationally renowned for two main activities; Parachuting and Hot Air Ballooning with two major international parachuting events being held at the club in recent years. The club is located in the thriving aquatic city of Aqaba and is open daily throughout the year due to the constant warm climate of this coastal resort. With Aqaba only 50km away from Wadi Rum, visitors to the club can start their day hot air ballooning or sky diving above the breathtaking desertscape of Wadi Rum, and end their day relaxing by the shores of the Red Sea or taking advantage of the numerous water sports available from snorkeling and diving to windsurfing and water-skiing.
The RASCJ is a non-profit organization that was established in 1997, the first and only club of its kind promoting aero sports in Jordan. The Club offers a variety of aero sport activities as well as being the ideal venue for international aero sports events due to its extensive and first class facilities. The RASCJ, headed by HRH Prince Hamzah bin Al-Hussein, was ratified as a member of the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) in 2005 and has recently appointed new management with Eng. Ziad Hamzeh as its Director General.
The aero sports that are available at the RASCJ include Sky Diving, Micro-light flying, Hot Air Ballooning and Parachuting along with single engine flight training.
